Help! I What's the difference between Intel and Nvidia?

    My computer is an:

    Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1.80GHz
    CPU Speed
    1.79 GHz
    RAM
    256 MB
    247.5 MB
    Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (Build Service Pack 22600)
    Video Card

    ***I need Minimum:
    32 MB video card (NVIDIA GeForce 3 or 4MX+ / ATI Radeon 8500+)

    ***I have: Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller (Intel(R) 82845G Graphics Controller)

    Direct x 9
    For Gameplaying

    ***Can I upgrade by downloading free software?

    In your case, you are talking about the graphics adapter. The intel is an onboard graphics chip, which is extremely low end.

    You can look for the latest drivers, for that chip, but you are better off getting a dedicated graphics card, if your motherboard has an AGP slot for one.
