Hi, First of all i would like to mention that i havent actually got a camcorder but im thinking about purchasing one in the very near future. but there is one big thing that has being playing on my mind s i came here for some advise. I am probably be going to buy a mini-dv camcorder and i was wondering (im probably going sound a little stupid to you guys right now), whether there is a way i can get my recording off of my camera onto my pc.Also into a regular format such as and mpeg or an avi file. so then i have all my recordings on my pc. is this possible? Furthermore i have heard about firewire, (again im going to sound stupid), Could you please tell me what firewire is? Thanks
Of course you cna transfer your video from a DV camcorder to your PC. And a Firewire connection is the most suitable for that. read some of the aricles in the basic section of http://www.digitalvideoclub.com
