Hi, I'm trying to install faac on Mac OS X so I can encode AAC audio into mp4 files using ffmpeg. I've downloaded: http://www.audiocoding.com/modules/mydownloads/visit.php?cid=3&lid=20 And am following the install instructions: 1. Make sure you have autoconf, automake and libtool installed. For MP4 support, you must have libmp4v2 (included in faad2) installed. 2. cd to FAAC source dir 3. Run: ./bootstrap ./configure make make install Configure gets an error: sweet:~/faac g5$ ./configure checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c checking whether build environment is sane... yes /Users/g5/.Trash/faac: /Users/g5/.Trash/faac: is a directory configure: WARNING: `missing' script is too old or missing checking for gawk... no checking for mawk... no checking for nawk... no checking for awk... awk checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes checking for gcc... gcc checking for C compiler default output file name... a.out checking whether the C compiler works... yes checking whether we are cross compiling... no checking for suffix of executables... checking for suffix of object files... o checking whether we are using the GNU C compiler... yes checking whether gcc accepts -g... yes checking for gcc option to accept ANSI C... none needed checking for style of include used by make... Stop. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to fix? Thanks, James.
