I recently bought a wireless keyboard and mouse for my old pc but needed windows 2000 or higher. So i bought a copy of windows 2000 professional but am having problems installing it. When it starts to install and reboots the computer i get a message saying 'Trend ChipAway Virus has detected a virus on your hard drive, press enter to find out more(recommended) OR press (c) to continue the boot up' If i press (c) it boots up and says 'please insert the windows 2000 professional cd rom into drive A and press enter' But I dont understand what to do because drive A is the floppy drive and i have windows 2000 on a cd. When i press enter nothing happens. I then have to press f3 to quit the install. Does anyone know what to do?
check in your bios to see if the trend antivirus is enabled & disable it. change the boot sequence in the bios so the rom drive boots 1st.
