I have recently aquired a Pioneer DVR-104 rewriter, and am having problems whenever I burn a video file.

I have used Nero 7, DVDSanta, 1Click DVD, CopyToDVD and all without the results I was expecting.

I am getting "jerks" when playing a DVD in my PlayStation2. Sometimes they last for a second or two, sometimes the disc will feeze and skip about a minute, and usually the end result is "Unable to read disc". Same happens when I try playing it on the PC.

I am using Sony DVD-RW (as it's the first time I've used a DVD burner), which wasn't cheap, and burning at 1x speed, as it seems the slower the speed, the less errors you'll get - but this isn't happening.

Since Sunday (when I found time to start burning discs), I have made 4 coasters (DVD-R's by Mitsubishi), and having to erase the files off the DVD-RW's.

The Firmware for my DVD burner is 1.41, and is updated thoroughly. I have checked a lot of forums since, and this seems to be the place to get help.

Sorry it's so long! Ooo, and I'm using XP Pro, 40Gb HDD, 512Mb RAM, 2.7Ghz processor.

    Cheers...
