when your computer is starting up take a look for what you need to press to get into the setup (usually f2 or Del but it can vary) and press it. that will take you into the bios. if you have a look around in the menus you should see something like "video memory size" or "graphics aperture size" (something like that anyway) change it up to 32 and thats it. if you dont use this comp for games or anything then id personally leave it at 8 or 16 as the memory size is taken out of your system memory the more graphic memory you have the less system memory
i already enter bios..but i cant find it ..it's not there.. anyone know dell bios n tell me where i want to change my display located??
The display memory you read there is exactely right ! This is the controller and it is has a 4Mb DRAM that is what is given for specs on the Intel(r) 82810E Graphics Controller by Intel.
my sister has a dell ill be going there this week will try and remember to have a look in bios to see what its under
help me someone... i still cant find it.. anyone know where its located in bios?? anyone familiar with dell bios setup?? pls help me..i already search for it n i cant find it..
When you enter bios, move to the Advanced screen. Press down to Video Configuration and press enter. Select the size you want and press spacebar. Press the F10 key and then press ENTER to save your changes. The screen will go blank and the computer will restart. That should work. Here is the link from the Dell support page I am referencing from. http://support.dell.com/support/top...212F815011DA80AC7B22CCB0F52F&l=en&s=dhs#en#us
@ Auslander It has onboard video you can dedicate your memory to be used as video memory. Would this mean that there is 2 meg dedicated to video and a 2meg chip on the graphics controller?
