i gave this program which made my avi to a m2v file, it also made a mpg file to. Will i used "Cucusoft MPEG to DVD Burner" to burn my mpg file to a dvd it tuned the files to vob. You know dvd files. well it also burned those files to a dvd for me. Thing is taht i can watch that dvd on my computer but i cant watch it on my dvd player or my ps2. did i do something wrong? Maybe i was supposed to do something with that m2v file? Please help me.
Perhaps there was something wrong in the procedure... Which tool did you use? If you got your AVI and want a simple way to create a DVD playable on a stand alone player try AVI2DVD or VSO DivXtoDVD. Once the project is ready, it'll create a Video_TS folder which you can later burn to a disc with your favorite program (i choose Nero)
well i used Cucusoft AVI to VCD DVD MPEG Converter Pro. it turned my avi fiel to a m2v file, a mpg file and it also made a sound file. then i used mpeg to dvd burner. i toke the mpg file and then it made vob file and stuff then it burned them to a dvd. when i open the dvd i see a AUDIO_TS, and a VIDEO_TS file. so what did i do wrong? also when i put it in my computer it boot up just like a real dvd, when i put it in my dvd player it said error.
Okay... from your encoder you got an m2v file (that's the video stream) and an mpa file (that's the audio stream), correct? Which encoder did u use? Try TMPGEnc that's free for 30 days... I don't know about Cucusoft, sorry, but instead I can tell you to download TMPG DVD Author which is a sort of complete tool for authoring your dvd projects. That is, in other words, it lets you put your audio & video atreams (the ones mentioned before) and add menus and chapters (AFAIK, it doesn't add subtitles) EASILY. Once finished, it compiles your project, that is it creates the VIDEO_TS folder with all the files required for watching on a stand alone player. ok? You need to burn at low speed those files at the video_ts folder to a good media disc with your burning program of choice. Since I use Nero, I open it and select DVD-video and drag the contents of the video_ts folder from the hard drive to the one that appears on the left of the screen and burn! Suggestion: burn it to a DVDRW first to ensure everything works as desired. Cheers
