it works fine last week, but today i plug it into my desktop using usb connection i am getting this error. "j:\not accessible the file or the directory is corrupted. and sometime it will said the parameter is corrupted." what do i do to gain back access to my files. it is a fantom 300gb hardisk and i have used about 80 gb of it. help please.
not a lot you can do there, looks like the drive is broken. call up the comapny you bought it from and talk to there support staff
is the drive still under warranty as might be the enclosure causing the problem or even the usb cable.
see if ye can run scan disk on the drive to repair the drive.. note:i had a directory is corrupted error on one of my externals,it fixed it for me.
i did this ouble-click My Computer Highlight a local hard disk drive by clicking on it once. Right click the highlighted local drive Click properties Click the tools tab and click check now to check the drive for errors. and i click ok but nothing happen afterward. should i restart or what
