My computer got fixed after all the files got compressed by my screwed up recovery disk. Because of how screwed up it is, my HDD got wiped out and stuff got reinstalled. There are still stuff from my old HDD, and yes.. the files are pretty much important to me. Sounds like a problem solved, but from the thread subject, you can probably tell there's a problem with that here. When I open the .tib file, and create an image, PRESARIO (G, I can view the image of my computer from the past. It seems that a virus of some kind could have corrupted some files and folders. Folders like G:\Documents and Settings\*****\Desktop (an example, just to name one), are .. corrupted, as it seems. When I try to open it, or copy it, a popup comes up saying G:\... is not accessible. Access is denied. From my Acronis True Image Corporate Workshop, I can explore my folders, but I still can't open the files inside. Before you post suggestions... The image is read-only The folders I tried accessing cannot be copied, or opened. The .tib file is approx. 24GB . No, I'm not trying to advertise anything. I'm just trying to provide as much details as I can, to avoid the pain of replying to possibly-avoided questions.
