1.I'm trying to encode the WAV into a wrapped MP3 in CDex but when I go to my source folder where I ripped everything, there is nothing there for the program to open. Is the correct convert tab CONVERT WAV to compressed AUDIO FILES? And shouldn't I be looking for the psuedo AVI I made in VFAPIConvert or is it a different file? 2.When I try to open the psuedo AVI file I made with VFAPIConvert from my .d2v Virtual Dub issues a error message that says "it couldn't locate a decompressor for format 'vifp' and that it requires a Video for Windows (VFW)compatible codec. Do I just need to reinstall the program or do I have to copy the Virtual Dub codecs to a system folder or something?? Thanks for any help or suggestions!
YAY! I figured it out! 1. IN DVD2AVI the Audio option was set to Demux all audio tracks. Changed that to output to WAV and it worked ok. 2.Went in the VFAPICodec folder and ran the DOS Batch file, whoops forgot to install the codec! Everything works fine now, well I have to download DivX PRO instead of the standard so I have the correct settings. Thanks for a great forum and site! Very helpful!
