I just got a ipod video and I need help. I have a windows computer but the ipod was previously used on a mac. It says I need to restore it but when I try to restore it threw itunes it say update server can not be contacted. What should I do?

Its saying that because it is Christmas and everyone is trying to access Apple's servers and some people get timed out due to the large demand. Thisman is right in that you have to restore your iPod, because Mac's format the iPod to a filing system Windows doesn't support or recognize.
