I've exhausted myself and my supply of blank dvd disks with this so if anybody could help or point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it! Basically, I have a movie that I got as an .avi file and I'm having absolutely no luck getting subtitles onto a dvd+r disk. I've tried several methods using Nero 8 as the burning tool- hardcode subs into avi, create a .nrg file with subs and movie, put subs (.srt file) and movie in a file together- and each time the disc I make does not have subtitles. When I use AVI2DVD to convert the avi file, I tried checking by clicking on the .vob file to preview and make sure but the subtitles are not there either! The movie plays fine (audio and video quality are good but subtitles are nowhere to be found) on my computer in both vlc player and windows media player as well as on my tv in a stand-alone dvd player. This is getting a bit frustrating...can anyone please offer some insight on what I might be doing incorrectly or give some hints how to make a dvd with subtitles?
