ok i opened up my remove programs thing from control panel to uninstall some programs, and while scrolling down i saw that there was like 5 J2SE RUNTIME EVIRONMENT 5.0 UPDATE things, there was update 2,4,6,10,11? i was wondering if i need them all? should i uninstall them or what?..does it reduce my computers performance???? what should i do.. thanks
Security people have been on Java about this for a while. Leaving the older versions on supposedly is a security risk, but the Java installs do not remove the older Java. It is rec to remove all but the latest, which on mine is version 6, update 1. I have removed the older Javas each time for the last few updates and have not had any problems. Yes you should uninstall the older ones.
