HELP PLEASE need to get a dummy out of my sub!!!!!

    HI i have just got a band new amp and 5.1 speaker system and my son has put a dummy in the sub, now what i need to kno is if i open the sub up to get it out would it damge the sub in any way? would it mess up the sound?

    If you do open it up be sure to caulk or putty it as you put it back together, otherwise it may leak or buzz.

    LOL, you gotta love kids.

    You could also get a small piece of hose 1/4-3/8" ID.
    Tape the hose to the hose on your vacuum cleaner and very carefully put the small hose in the port and poke around in side with the small hose, with any luck it might grab the dummy.

    If you hve to take it apart, get some wood glue and put it along the edges of the panels and clamp it together until the glue sets.

    Silicone window sealant (or bath sealant).. luvverly smell is a bonus ;)

    thanks for the tips but i dont think i'll take it aprt really dont want to mess it up might give the hover ago

    What's to mess up? It's a speaker in a box surely, with an amplifier lurking somewhere in there too.. If the back screws on then just take it off.. maybe fitting a grill or some dark cloth or something over the inside of the port to stop it happening again ? Poking around with a hoover nozzle might break something connected with the amp, or worse still rip the speaker cone.
