i bought the box from iwantabox.com

I have no idea what codes to put where or how!

can someone please tell me how to get channels

im with chorus, not mmds, true cable.

when i go auomatic installation, there a no channels detected i get this message "0 program found"

when i try to do a manual scan im asked for

    -down frequency
    -symbol rate
    -constellation
    -network scan

i looked at the sticky topic for chorus codes and could not make head nor tail of it!

    please help,

    Tim

Here are the latest frequencies for Ch**** True Cable: It is area dependent so not 100% these are for Dublin.

Press Menu > Installation > Manual Scan

Input these freq's in the "down Freq" ,
Do each freq on seperate scans and see how many channels you end up with

    274.000 371.000
    282.000 378.000
    290.000 394.000
    298.000 410.000
    306.000 427.000
    314.000 444.000
    322.000

    symbol rate of 6875.

Did you input ALL the Freq and do a scan for each one seperate ?

Where have you got your incoming cable plugged into on the Starview ?

yeah i did a scan for each one.

and the incoming cable is plugged from the socket in the wall into the bit in the back of the box called "cable input"

You could change the network scan to Enable and see if that helps

no mate sry, that did not work :(

i was looking at a sticky thread, and there are codes you put in.

i put in the codes for chorus, but it doesnt stay if you not what i mean. i select chorus i put in 00 then blah blah (numbers etc)

press ok, then i hit exit, i go back in and its back to ntl!

    does that make sence?

How did I know that :) Bad news is you are in an analogue only area and it will not work until you are upgraded by UPC.

Supposed to have done it a long time ago, but like anything it will take time, heard it may be after Xmas. Ring Ch**** and tell them you are interested in a digital package and ask them if/when it will be available to you.
