help please

    ive just started backing up xbox game so im a complete noob....but im havin a bit pf a problem wonder if anybody can help.

    i connect my xbox to my pc use flash fxp then cxbox tool then nero.

    i burn the game at 1x and i use ritek aaa grade media.

    a few of the games ive done keep cuming up with disc error might be dirty etc.....but they are perfect.

    anybody got any idears?

    i was reading before something about patching....could somebody explain whats its all about?

    the game im having trouble with is timespliters 3 if that makes any difference

    after you transfer the contents of the game to your pc, you need to make a xbox iso image. im not sure of cxbox tool can do that, but most people use xISO to do this. once you make the xbox iso, burn that with nero with the image burning tool and you should be good

    Patching is a way to "trick" the xbox into thinking it's playing an original game disc. Usually involves patching the default.xbe.

    Some toos that patch..

    These tools also do more than just patching. They can extract the contents of an XISO, rebuild your directory after you extract to a working XISO, FTP access, just to name a few. My personal fav is Qwix.

    Also, I only use DVD Decrypter to burn the XISO, you might want to give that a shot instead of Nero. (http://www.dvddecrypter.com/)

    il have a go later with qwix looks easy enough.

    how long does it normally take to patch a game?
