Well there are various types of flashcarts out there. There is the R4 and the M3 flashcart. What i would like to know is what kind of flashcart should i purchase that is the easiest to use and most reliable. I am also interested in the homebrew apps and emulation of classics such as SNES and GBA. Also is there a flashcart that can play run these homebrew apps. Which flashcart is the best for this. I've done some research and Dealextreme.com has many R4 flashcarts for very cheap prices. Is this a flashcart i can use for all of the reasons stated above? Basically the question i am asking is what's the best out there?
I recommend the M3 real which has GBA pack. and it works well. R4 is stable but somehow out-dated and there are many clones of it. Dealextreme very cheap but the delivery is very slow.
ok thanks, i'm still wondering whether the newest games can be dumped onto it and still be supported. I've done a bit of research and i often hear that the r4 are not going to have any more updates. Is there a flashcard in which i will not have to worry about updating issues?
i would recommend you the DS one supercard, i have had one now for over a year and have never had any trouble with it, it plays every game too with no problems, some friends have the R4 card and have had trouble with them, some games not playing, freezing etc..
Generally regarded as the best CycloDS, its excellent but comes at a price. M3Real - With Sakura now a close second - but watch out for those www.adaptese.com fakes. Edge, AceKard - good solid cards R4 - Avoid - 14 to choose from and a nightmare to set up if you dont know what you are doing DSTT - cheap - lots of fakes that need to use different software, has a reputation for blowing DS fuses (small but significantly more than other flash cards)
if you read dealextreme fourm loads of people reporting fake ds cards on there try www.focalprice.com same price much better service
dstt cards the best setup loads of them for people in work as the R4 cards kept failing and crashing and the fake R4 cards burn out the fuses in the DS
