Hello. I tried everything suggested in http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/230610 regarding a similar case. DVD Decrypter at 49% stops and kindly tells me this "W 06:31:23 Failed to read Sector 1975185 - L-EC Uncorrectable Error" I hit ignore but i have a feeling that ignore is not going to help my cause. Anyone else had something like this happen to them...(is it caused from a scratchy disk)?
ok... I read the previous thread...... and I hope you are using good quality media to burn to....... Crash is nothing special about it..... it will rip with just DVDDecrypter alone! then you can use a transcoder (cloneDVD, Nero, Shrink, or other programs) to make the files smaller to fit onto a DVD5, then burn. sooooo you're having trouble with DVDDecryter...... if it stops and can't read the disk.... then it could be 2 things...... it's a bad disk (bad press) and you should return the disk for a new one.... or the disk has scratches, dust, finger prints, smudges on it where it can't read the disk. Soooooooo try cleaning the disk..... if that doesn't work take back and get a new CRASH disk to copy from. and you can try this out, download the programs and follow the guide, RipIt4Me..... does everything out there: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/360110,
try some free or paid methods such as this - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/424773/2567409
DonaldOne , Welcome to the forum. Try cleaning the disk real well. You can also rip it w/ Ripit4Me, DVDFAB Decrypter or use the ripper function in AnyDVD. AnyDVD has a 21 day free trial offer and it is fully functional. Since this is a newer movie I think DVDDecrypter can not handle the decryption and thusly the error. If it fails to properly rip using the programs above it is probably a bad mastering press and you will need to exchange it for another. Edit: I really have to learn how to type quicker as IHOE and creaky beat me again. LOL

IHOE and Creaky, No one had answered so I started typing and it took me at least 6 minutes to type my response and by that time you both had answered. I knew I should have taken that typing course back in the 8th grade as that was many...many years ago. LOL
i'm just trapped here, they never let me leave (like in Hotel California, ie "You can check in anytime you like but you might never leave."), that's why i'm so quick
