Right so i am sat here with my iPod 30GB video and some music videos i recorded off the telly onto DVD. I converted them using Imtoo DVD to iPod Convertor. ok, i import them into iTunes and re-name them no problem but the main problem is they wont copy to my iPod! any help? [edit] my screen resolution is 320x240 My Bit rate is 512 (video) Audio bit rate is 128. i have done videos with these settings before but its only ever since i wiped my pc and recoverd my library it started... I have been in v1.1 firmware since it practically came out and had no problems but if i have to downgrade i dont want to restore my whole library
You don't have to restore the whole library if you downgrade, just copy song from your library back onto your iPod. ;-)
Yeah, buddy if you are answering questions, try and give a sufficient answer relevent to the query ;-) But he is right to a degree, iPod_luva - there are ways of downgrading without erasing the content of your iPod. I am not yet convinced the firmware is the issue here -- it may be a problem with software. Try transcoding a five minute video with an alternate converter like Videora, and see if it copies to your iPod.
well i have ALWAYS used this convertor for my videos but it seems it only happened since i installed iTunes 6.0.4 that could be the problem... i will downgrade to 6.0.3 and see if that works....
SUCCESS! I downgraded iTunes and it seems to be ok and my videos WILL TRANSFER XD i figure apple must be making it so that iTunes wont accept third-party material - e.g a mp4 convertor
Glad that sorted your problem. Apple will continue to use methods in order to persuade more people to buy from the iTMS. As long as I am in these forums, nobody will have to
