I am looking at three chipmods for the NGC, and I was wondering what you would reccomend...

Viper GC Extreme inc. USB Adapter $54.95
GameCube Qoob SX Mod Chip $34.95
GameCube Qoob PRO Mod Chip $48.95

The gamebit and sodering iron are on the way, so what of the three would you reccomend and why, I am having much trouble discerning the three in their abilities...

I came here wondering the same thing. After all the time that has passed since the GameCube came out, certainly there must be a few clear winners for using backups?

Also, what about the Duo Q $15 for just getting the job done?

    Also the XenoGC $8.00

"As a result of this chip not using an alternative bios, a Gamecube installed with a XenoGC will act just like an original Gamecube, so even the Action Replay will work (original or backup)!"

Just my 2 cents, but I went with the QOOB Pro and it has worked flawlessly with all the games that I've burnt...Install and soldering was also easy. I also like the feature of their being an led light that goes on if it is conected right and also the fact that i can hook the chip up to my computer via a usb cable.

I went with the viper extreme and it works perfectly fine (exsept for a few pilot errors;-)) but it was a pain in the butt to install and solder but it's better than paying $50 a peice for a old game lol

Hi I'm looking at either the:
    Xeno GC 2.0
    or the
    Duo Q

Which is the best to use with a pal gamecube to play backups and maybe homebrews of a mini dvd?

    Cheers.
