help,-why isnt it working?

    hello all,

    i am totaly cluless about dvd media. ive baught a pioneer dvr-a04 and am trying to back up loads of single frames of animation (tiff format) using nero 5.5. and some relativley cheep dvd-r disks,-

    my machine burns cd's fine and starts to burn dvd-r's for a millisecond, and then i get a message from nero telling me that there's a comunication error.

    any ideas??????

    Simon,

    Whate precise version of Nero are you using ?

    It should be at least 5.5.9.0 for useful DVD burning.

    hello homer,

    im using 5.5.9.14,- just wasted another couple of disks trying to get it up and running,- im thinking that its probably the dvd-r's im using. they are cheep ones (at £1 each),

    it cant be anything to do with the rest of my system,- im running a dual mp2200, with 3 gig ddr and mirrored 80 gig 7200 hd's.

    help im confused................
