Hope you guys can help; I am having a problem with my NEC 3500AG DVD+/- burner. This burner is almost brand new and hasn't been used hardly at all. It did well at first but now it seems locked on one speed. No matter what speed you set it to burn, it only burns on like 2x(it takes 30-35 minutes to burn a dvd 5)I'm currently using Maxwell 8x DVD-R, but change of media has not helped(I have used about 6 different kinds of Media and get the same results.) The drive has been cleaned, it has firmware of 2.98. The DVDs it produces works perfectly, but drive still needs speeded up. Its running on a Gateway 5200s, with a Pentium 4(2.8) With 512mb of memory. Its using Nero OEM Burning ROM 6.0.0.16. Im about to rip my hair out with this problem, I have did and checked everything I know to try. Can anyone suggest anything that might help?
Nevermind guys...I figured it out with help from another thread, on pretty much the same subject. This site and its members rock!!!!!
