Since I bought this stuff, gives me nothing but drop frames. Defragmented my drive, closed all open apps. changed vcr, Tried so many different capture software. Any assistance is highly appreciated. Thanks
Are you captureing to a seperate hard Drive that is used just for Video Capture?? Because your Main Hard Drive with your Operateing System and Programs installed on it will not be Fast enough to Capture DV AVI video without dropping Frames, this is because it has to Write Data and read Data from the Same Drive at the Same Time so it is allways best to Capture to a fast seperate Hard Drive..... Cheers
Thank you Minion, I am capturing my videos on separate drive. Even if I never connected it yet to my pc. VCR video out to video in on ADS Pyro to my tv monitor in . From the tv monitor itself you will see drop frames already even not yet hooked up to my pc. My pc has nothing to do with drop frames. It is I believe ADS PYRO A/V. Any other comments on this is highly appreciated.
I've got the same problem. But using Studio 9 software I loose less frames while making a mpg-capture. The DV-capture with Pyro av Link is terrible (doesn't matter which programm I use), so even the quality of the mpg-capture isn't that bad. But still, I'm very dissapointed upto now.
Note: I use a scart-switch on my VCR, connected with SVHS-cable and 2 audio cables to the Pyro AV link. Maybe there is someone out here who uses a direct S-VHS connecting between VCR/TV and the Pyro AV Link. Does it give better/good results ? Capturing from my DVD-player with S-VHS connection to my Pyro AV Link gives perfect results.
