help with audio clips

I have already gotten the audio track I want off of a DVD. It is an AC3 file.
What do I need to do in order to get a couple of audio clips out of the file in order to add it to a CD?

Sorry if this is old, I am a newbie and any answer or redirection will be great.

It should do the job but make sure that you also download the BeSweet GUI. Afterward, use [bold]Audacity[/bold] to edit the Mp3 or Wave file.
