I'm aiming to build a higher-end gaming desktop, with a budget of around $1200. I know about building computers and all, but finding the best bang for my buck is something I have trouble with. I was wondering if someone could compile a list of parts that could make an optimal gaming PC and list them here with the total price. Any help is appreciated.

Does this include any peripherals? What size monitor do you use and which games will you be playing?

    Try http://www.xcase.co.uk/

The parts on there are quite cheap, customer service is good. i built a pc with 1tb hdd and 3gb ram etc for less than €400

Xcase don't really have a very good range of components, they're slightly overpriced with respect to other UK Stores, since they're a case manufacturer, but most of all, Sakaii quoted a price in dollars, which means he's not from the UK.
