Help with burning dvd

    i was just wondering, im all out of dvds, and is it possible to burn a video file to a CD if it fits on it.

    that depends on the type of video file, and whether or not your dvd player recognizes those files.

    If you are talking about ripping a dvd and placing the .vob file on a 700mb CD like you normally would on a 4.7gb DVD, the short answer is no.

    i am downloading off torrent.
    using dvd-r and dvd+r

    some are worknig but most are not but will play on the dvd drive in my computor.

    i have watched tem also on other dvd,s.
    any idea on why thye dod not play.

    you should have no problem playing them on your computer... you can just place the .avi file on the cd and you can watch it whenever you want. A standtop dvd player is a little more complex and I doubt you will have much luck with a normal run of the mill player.

    true they play geat on my pc.
    some play on my dvd player and some do not.
    using the same type disc one copied from another store bought movie plays while one burnt from this site does not. just wondering if there was a fix.
