Hi I'm a bedroom dj and i have just bought a lap top to record my sets on. At the moment i am using audacity to record to my hardrive and then burning onto cd with very good results. What i need to know is is there a way which i can make a constant mix cd but put in tracks so i can skip to individual tracks but without getting any 'skipping' because at the mo i am limited to 1 large 80 min track. thanks
Use Audacity to split the tack up. Highlight a portion that you want to make into its own track. Then, export the selected portion. Before you go back remember to cut the exported selection from the track and save. Keep doing this untill you have all of your tracks made. Burn them to disk making sure that there are no gaps being put between the tracks by the burning software. I followed your adviced. i split the wav file into 14 parts then used nero 6 to burn to disc. Very impressed with the results. thanks
