i just got a new iriver chromeX mp3/cd player and when i download mp3's and put them on a cd-r, some work, and some restart the cd! i know it's not the mp3's themselves because i put the same ones on another cd and ones that didn't work, worked, and ones that did before, didn't on the second cd. the manual suggests that maybe this is caused by burning at "high speed". would that cause this to happen? what the hell is going on?
Since the same files give different results on different CDs, this pretty much seems like a media problem. Browse the CD-R media forum, get high quality media. How fast is your burner - decrease the speed to see if it helps.
