hey can any 1 help my pal lives in the smae street has the same box were both on c/w and he has all the pay for veiw event allso the pay for veiw movies but i dont i have about 250 or so it says but some ddont work or i can seem to find the pay for veiw moves i get shed loads of porn which is no good to me i just realt want films pls help

Try this first to get the PPV channels , Menu > Installation > Manual Scan > Network Scan = Enable > Press Ok ... New channels will be found at the end of your list Now you can do this and it will improve the EPG and info Menu > User Setup > Go down to Time Setting and set the time > Go accross and Time Zone = GMT + 01.00 > Current Time = AUTO > Summer Time = ON > Oress Ok then Exit , Exit
i did all that like you said and it found a few more channels but how do i know which 1s are the pay for veiw and the epg problem is still there its a bit better but no where like the guys up the road
Look in the list for TV *** (*** Denotes numbers) thats the best you will get the EPG for SV What firmwa*e is installed? Menu > System Information You might need to update the b0x

When you press Ok on the remote you see your channel list , browse through them for channels called TV 123 etc , i am not sure what the channels are in numbers , sorry if im confusing you

sorry to jump on this thread, but can starview get PPV ? I thought you needed talkback for these and it wasnt possible.
thanks scouser, I do not have one - but makes me wonder, as didnt realise you could get them - how can you, without talkback?? Its obviously possible. I know you cannot with replay lite, so presumed you couldnt with any
Sorry tizler I was only speaking about non VOD channels just the normal sly movie channels. None of these boxes have a talkback track for obvious reasons. What Lee was looking for was the Sly Box Office events channel which does not require talkback as we call all get this.

You have the latest firmware Lee and as far as updates go I would say this is the last one as "The Box" seems to be the only one with updates at the moment. In regards to will it update on its own, I think you are talking about code changes and yes it will auto update these.
scouser u seem pretty stright is there a better box for the job or is the star view as good as any other pls if there is a better box out there could u tell me the name and maybe some where that i can get 1 cheers lee
