    Hey Guys,
Over the past few days I have just been reading up on all these forums on how to copy XBOX games and I am still alittle confused. I am tech savy so I can understand what you are getting to but be easy on me. I have two questions. First I want to copy an original XBOX game and I also want to know how to copy an already burnt XBOX game. I have an XBOX with a Thompson DVD-rom. It already has a mod chip in it and I have a few burnt games that I already play on my XBOX (got them from my friend). I dont know what type of mod chip that I have, is there a way that I can find out?

From what I have read, to copy an original XBOX game I must FTP my PC to my XBOX. I already have a crossover cable, an extra nic card, and FlashFXP as my FTP client. Now I am not familar with this evox? What is it and do I need to boot up a DVD-r with evox on my XBOX to change some settings before I try to FTP?
I understand what to do once I FTP to my XBOX, I can just use craxtion to copy the .iso from the game in my XBOX DVD-rom to my PC hard drive and then copy it to a blank DVD-r using RecordNOW MAX. My question is what is this evox and do I need to do that first?

Second question is copying an already burnt game to a blank DVD-r. I know that I don't have to FTP to my XBOX to do that. SO let me see if I got this right. I can just put my burnt game in my PC DVD-rom and extract the .iso file using my RecordNOW MAX software to my PC harddrive. Then just record that .iso file to a blank DVD-r using my RecordNow MAX software. Is that it? Simple as that?

Can someone please post a few messages with where and what I am doing wrong and give me any other pointers, etc before I get started on this. All help is very much appreciated. Until I hear back from others I will continue reading the forums trying to learn more.
    THANKS!

You need Evox since it's this dahboard that enables the FTP capabilities of the xbox. You'll need to find yourself a copy then edit the evox.ini file to set your FTP settings, make an .ISO of it and burn it to a CD-RW or DVD+/-RW and boot from it. Once you booted if your ftp settings are correct you'll be able to connect to your xbox and then copy the files of the dashboard to the C and after that your xbox will boot in the evox menu. (For the boot CD you may need to rename the evoxdash.xbe to default.xbe but rename it back to it's original name when copying it to your xbox HDD)
