Help with dvd burner

    My Cd burner on my toshiba satellite has worked fine since i got it about 4 months ago. I have used alcohol, but only to mount images(now uninstalled). All of a sudden, wmp wont burn cd's, saying error "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while burning the file to the disc. For additional assistance, click Web Help". the problem code is C00D10DA.There is no web help. I don't think that its only wmp, because toshiba disc creator just freezes. PLZ HELP/
    ps sorry if wrong forum but i didnt know

    thanks mucho i will try that :D. K tried that but I don't know how as it says i have a more recent vs of wmp so i cant repair the current vs. Any thoughts?

    Uninstall it all and start reinstalling from scratch....are you repairing or reinstalling?

    Idk whichever but its not in control panel uninstall, and microsoft says i cant fully uninstall it because its part of the system or something.
