hello. here is my issue. I used tmpeg and main concepts which looks exactly like tmpeg in everything from where you hit start to where you check the box if you want video or audio. I have converted my xvid or avi to mpeg2 2 format and dvd format but i don't get teh seperate vob files. i can't burn with nero cause the file is audio and video together when it encodes. What am i doing wrong? i could use sonic dvd or something like that that encode it for you but i really don't want to use those programs. I have nero, nero recode, and nero express around here somewhere. I encode the file. it becomes one file in mpeg form. Then i go to burn it to dvd and well i don't have my dvd files seperated i guess. so basicaly.. help please

    thanks

    dan

You've successfully created the proper mpeg-2, and you just need to Author it. Authoring is the process of creating the vobs, ifos, and bups from an mpeg.
ReJig will author the mpg, but you have no menus.
Nerovision express will author it, but may re-encode the whole thing, a waste of time and it may come out worse than the original.
Something like DVDLab, Tmpgenc DVD Author, or Adobe Encore will author it with full menu's, chapters, etc.
This will create the VIDEO_TS folder on your hard drive, which you can then burn in Nero, using the DVD Video template.
