I have a brand new 350 dollar v600 from At&T that I would like to use on the new cingular network. I aquired a copy of VictorGSM and the easiest to find USB cable I could find. This happened to be a Futuredial Cable 32. Now it fits in the phone perfectly, but it doesn't say it suppoers this phone. Anywho, when I plug it in, and power up Victor (3.8 Beta), it can read all the information from the phone just fine, but when I select the unlock feature, it says "Prepareing phone for unlocking..." for a minute, and then an error pops up that "UNABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH PHONE, are you sure you conneted the Charger to the COM port". I'll note that the Futuredial drivers install the wire as a Serial port on Com 7 (or somewhere depending on where I put it), so I have to select COM, not USB. Could that be the problem? Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated. I need this phone unlocked, and I really don't trust sending it away anywhere. Again, thanks in advance.
