    I just purchased the Hauppauge WinTV-PVR 150 card to transfer our VHS home movies to DVD. I am not using it yet for TV recording. Currently I have it connected to my VCR. I'm using the composite video out from the VCR to the card and using a audio y cable for the L & R audio.

    The card seems to be working ok, I guess. But, what is bothering me is after I transfer a VHS tape to the computer I looked at the HCWlog and it always reports the following:

    18:42:24:062 - DShow ERROR BaseCrossbar::SetVideoSource get_CrossbarPinInfo -- Incorrect function.

    I don't understand what this means and why it is in the log file.
    Before I begin transfering a VHS I always click on the menu button then Suite Manager then Input sources and I choose Composite.

    I did not do anything special when I installed the card.
    I followed the directions, which are very poorly written.
    I did not install anything for the remote as I am not using it right now nor did I install any software for captureing TV.
    I just installed the card, the drivers and the WinTV2000 application.

    Would anyone know why the log shows the error mentioned above?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Jim

    I've seen that exact same message in my C:\MyVideos\HCWlog.txt file too. And I don't know what it means either.

    However, after almost two years I've never once noticed a problem with any captured file from my PVR-150, despite that message showing up in the log.

    If the captured mepg file itself is fine, then I wouldn't worry about that error message.
