my old softmodded xbox died (motherboard) and i want to stick the 80gig hdd from it into another xbox i got that had a stuffed hdd ,ive just brought a duo x2 gs chip which i am going to install ,i have the eeprom bin from the 80gig. SO.... do i just use xboxhdm to unlock the hdd with the eeprom bin ive got and then delete the bin file off the hdd then just pop it in the chipped xbox ,and will it just work??
You don't need to chip your xbox if you have the eeprom.bin file. Just run xbox hdm, use a modded C: and lock it with your eeprom and throw it in your xbox. Here's some links for you. that wont work ,the eeprom.bin will be different to the one in the other xbox im putting my hdd in ,i chipped it and its working now. thanks for you help anyway
Eh it would have worked if you had the eeprom from the working xbox, you could have made a eeprom reader and saved yourself the price of the chip. It's hard to decipher your english, i didn't understand exactly what you ment. Anyway if you figured it out that's all that matters.
