HELP WITH ITUNES!!!

    ok i just got my ipod for christmas...i have songs on it, no problem
    but i want to put a movie on it...but i don't know how to put the dvd onto itunes...when i put it in...nothing happens, it just starts to play. how do i put it into itunes?
