i recently got my matrix chip and tried chipping it myself. So i reached the alignment part and i just can't get the led to blink green in testing mode. Not even once. i tried moving it up and down and all over. then i switched it to 1 off and 2 on and it lit green. But the instruction manual says to make sure it blinks green in testing mode. so i ignored the instructions and tried it anyways. i put the burnt evolution dash iso onto a cdrw and the the xbox logo was blue( because i used the blue bios) but it still could not read it. i am guessing it's gotta be the alignment. Please someone help.
don't worry about the last question i got it to work. now can anyone help me with installing the dvd-x2 dongle free dvd player onto the hard drive. i know how annoying i am being but please help.
bro you should use slayers auto-installer.. it puts all that shit on there for you and you don't have to do a damn thing except sit there and wait for it to finish..
Hey wongie how did u get it to work finally? i having same problem my logo is blue and wont read the cd for evoxdash? my chip does flash green in testing mode though. Just cant get it to read any cd-rw i've made.
if your using xISO to make your iso thats the problem that is the worst program ever.. it works great sometimes and others not.. mostly not. try GDFImage or isomaker
please, some advice!!! i have been trying to align the matrix chip for hours now. i have soldered a 3 ps2 with apple chip mods before, but i figured i save myself sometime by purchasing this one. but it is kicking my ass!!! when i align it, i get one green and one red light, no green light flashing at all. sometimes when i boot it it will flash green then back to red after a second. i seen a video where a women installs it in 15 seconds, shit, i must be retarded!!!
One thing that helped me doing a pogo pin install was loosening all the mobo screws before trying to mount the pins. Give that a try.
hey, jdonger, if you are having trouble with the alignment of the matrix, try what i did. i spent close to six hours trying to align mine. shit i should have just bought a x2 pro. what i found out was that some pins did not make contact with the board. i got a piece of cardboard, 1/2 inch lenth and 1/4 width and 3/8 thich and placed it on the opposite end of the d0 point by the ide cable connector on the motherboard. i wrapped it in electrical tape(common sense). give it a try.
