I am using the streaming program called NetTransport. I have tried to download radio shows but the downloaded file turns out to be a MS-Dos Application. Is there anyway of either changing it to an audio file or is there anything i should go to in Net Transport to change this. The URL adress i am using is mms://204.174.223.100/sportsbyline.com Any help would be grateful.
Open the file you downloaded in notepad. Copy and paste the REAL url, hidden inside that file, into Nettransport. Just leave off the last char, that looks like a little box.
if you mean the address of the radio station its www.wrestlingobserver.com click on wrestling observer live.
That's a good one. But not correct. The file you downloaded was the audio file, but just had the wrong extension. Rename to change .com to .wma or .asf. Record like this to get the correct extension. Copy stream URL. mms://204.174.223.100/sportsbyline.com Net Transport New Rename > sportsbyline.wma Click OK to start recording. Click Pause to stop recording. I would also recommend GetASFStream for downloading this. http://test.s30.xrea.com/getasfstream2109b.exe It will actually read the file information from the stream header and name the file correctly from that. It will also automatically index the file for seeking. Net Transport can also index, but it is a manual function that you have to perform after the file is downloaded.
