I recieved my M3 Real Rumble Ram pack or whatever and a 4GB micro sdhc card this week. it didn't come with any software on it (no disk, just the M3, gba rumble ram and T-flash dongle) so then I figured out that I needed the software and downloaded it from http://www.handheldsources.com/M3DS/Download_M3DSR.html and put the system folder in. ok so I'm able to run the software, but the homebrew games don't show up under the nds list or gba list both are blank I have to go to the file browser and manualy locate them to launch them. I also cannot figure out how to get nes roms to work, they don't show up in the list. I read somewhere that there is a shortcut to go back to the M# menu by pressing L+R+A+B or something, but that doesn't work, I just have to turn it off and back on. and the only other thing is that in ds_organize I can't open the web browser (yes I have the ram pack inserted) ok, so whats the verdict?
Homebrew has to be launched from the My Card option (which i guess is what your referring to by the file browser?) NES roms use a built in emulator for GBA, this means you need to have the GBA Expansion inserted to be able to load them, this also means NES roms are only visible in the GBA menu (which looks in a "GBA" folder by default). You can download NES emulators for the DS anyway so this shouldn't be thought of as a huge problem. Not sure about that (haven't use DSorganize for a while), I will test that out later.
alright, thanks I guess I'll just have to put my homebrew in an "AAA" folder so I don't have to scroll through all the junk to get to it. well... seems it doesn't go by alphabetical order. I put some pocketnes.gba roms in the gba folder, then realized it needs to be in the root menu ds_organize was able to move the files for me. I still had to turn the ds off and back on to get to the menu which is really irritating. so my gba roms show up now but after a long load it went to the game boy logo screen and now seems to just be sitting there. also, the M3 help file on the handheld sources website is in .doc so I can't open it in wordpad, is it of any use anyway?
I can see gba and nes roms in the GBA list, but when I try to launch them even with the fast load option they start to boot and then nothing happens, on the nes roms, I can see some flickers of a distorted image, and then black. I can get to the emulator menu after that. I still don't know if there is a way to exit programs back to the M3 menu. thats one thing that I really dislike about the DS is that you can't even change the time or exit pictochat without having to reboot.
