help with psu

    hi all.like to no if this cooler master extreme power 500w psu will be ok to run this card Gainward nVidia GeForce 9500 GT 512MB or this one nvidia geforce 8800 GTS 320MB pci-express.thanks

    500W is enough, but I'm not fond of Coolermaster Extreme units, they can't put out anywhere near as much as they say they can. A Corsair VX 450W will actually be more powerful, plenty sufficient for that hardware, and much quieter too. However, if you're looking at buying a graphics card, I would recommend against getting either of those, buy a Radeon HD4670 instead.

    hi just got myself a SilverStone Zeus ST65ZF 650W for 40 pound i no its not a Corsair but i had a look at a few reviews of the SilverStone Zeus and thay all said it was good.but what do u think sammorris?thanks for your help with the graphics card as well

    The Silverstone units seem alright, but I don't know enough about them to trust them.
