I have just bought this R4DS, and a 2 GB microSD card, to hold all my sons backup games ! I have downloaded the newest kernel from www.r4ds.com unzipped the file and copied all files to the root of my MicroSD card, i now have the following files in the root of my SD Card:

    _system_
    moonshl
    _DS_MENU.DAT
    _DS_MSHL.nds

I have copied a working .NDS file into the root of the SD card, i know its working cause it work on my oldest sons CycloDS card (-:

The problem is when i start up the DS i first get the usual startup screen, then it says loading for a split second... and then the mystery, on the upper screen i get a calender, on the lower a error box of some sort both screens are with some trees as a background pictures, the error box is filled with some asian text which i dont understand a word of (-: Nothing happens when a press any buttons.

I have tried with different versions og the kernals but its all the same.

A picture of the error screen can be seen at http://www.layan.dk

I'd say you have a Chinese or Japanese card (I can't read the text, don't think me racist), by "Different versions" did you mean number or language?

nintenut its a chinese version and for Golfalay some roms will not run very well in a 2gb microSD because the 2gb microSD data speed isn't very fast.

Yeah, I posted English Firmware patched for the Chinese R4, and the speed varies between brands, both Sandisk and Japanese Kingston 2GB cards have good speed.
