    ok i've got this problem

about 1 year ago i had norton on my notebook
i uninstalled after expiring then i tried to install a newer norton but couldnt do it because it said that the older norton was installed!

i dont know why i tried with a uninstaller tool and didnt work D:

the norton is still on my PC and is not on the add/remove programs and neither on the uninstaller tool's list

i left it like that and install kaspersky. After using kaspersky.

I downloaded Avast but i cannot use it because of the norton >_<

what can i do to completely remove norton?!

First let me say norton sux, I quit using it after i got a virus while i had it and it was up to date, I then switched to avg free and that was 4 years ago I have been virus free and saved money. Now to get rid of norton the foul beasty you said u already tried the cleanup tool so now you need to go into the registry find all the items listed either unter symantec or norton and delete them If your not sure how here is a link that details the whole process good luck
