ok i've got this problem about 1 year ago i had norton on my notebook i uninstalled after expiring then i tried to install a newer norton but couldnt do it because it said that the older norton was installed! i dont know why i tried with a uninstaller tool and didnt work D: the norton is still on my PC and is not on the add/remove programs and neither on the uninstaller tool's list i left it like that and install kaspersky. After using kaspersky. I downloaded Avast but i cannot use it because of the norton >_< what can i do to completely remove norton?!
First let me say norton sux, I quit using it after i got a virus while i had it and it was up to date, I then switched to avg free and that was 4 years ago I have been virus free and saved money.
