Alright so i posted a little in this forum but here it is again, this is what I have

a Dell Inspiron 1721 Laptop w/ AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-56 with 136 gigs , Windows Vista Home Premium 1918 Mb of RAM , 1.80 GHz

I think now that instead of buying another HD i might just Dual boot Vista and Linux off of 1 HD buy partioing it.

I think partitioning vista might work, but it sounds complicated and also not sure if it will work to well with vista. And I NEED a lot of help to try and get this started, and yes i have done my reasearch.

I think I will start out with earther Ubuntu or Kubuntu both look very easy to use and similair.

Also correct me if im wrong but i think the installer for Ubuntu/Kubuntu will automatically (or you can do it manuelly) partion your HD. Just one comment to throw out however as reading the thread below mine "A few noob questions about Linuz", I already have files on my HD, so is there a way to set the size windows takes up with out deleting my file,
    thanks

I googled and found this: http://apcmag.com/5046/how_to_dual_boot_vista_with_linux_vista_installed_first

It might help you a bit. It tells you how to dual boot vista and ubuntu but you can probably use another Linux. On the other post a guy told you to use Kubuntu if you are a beginner and that is what I use. Kubuntu is just another version of Ubuntu so installing it should be the same.
