help with unlocked phone

    im about to buy an unlocked pantech c300 on ebay, but the phone that im using now is t-mobile, i was just wondering if i could just pop my t-mobile sim card in the pantech c300, or do i need a prepaid sim card?? can someone clarify? thnx in advance
