I had bought this program on '95, the MBA Series of Sofsource Pro One I found it stacked somewhere, so i decided to install it.... When I installed one of it, it had sent the error The label says it runs on Win95... then i tried compatibility options... still won't work... Can anyone help?? BTW, if some additional info... most files are on the CD, and basically it can't run without the CD, although it needs to be installed... I'd appreciate the help... I'm running on Windows XP SP2 Home Edition
It really depends on the software, some old games meant for 95' will run on XP without even using compatibility mode, others need special patches an fixes installed first. Google around and see if there are any patches/fixs for running that game on XP or any special steps you need to take. Btw, who's the manufacturer of the game?
Thanks for the reply... It's not a game apparently... it's MBA as in "Master of Business Administration". It's made Pro One which is a division of Sofsource (Take note!! Sofsource is not a typo, its just how it's spelled, without a 't') I tried googling, and nothing useful turned out... Still needing help...
Haha oh right... Still, same principle applies, it all depends on who wrote the software, how it was written, etc... From the title I take it this wasn't a very widespread or popular piece of software? It looks like you might be out of luck, as usually only popular games and applications from the past have any dedicated community at all. One last thing, try running the Program Compatibility Wizard instead of manually do it. Open up Help and Support from Start, and in the search bar type in "Program Compatibility Wizard". Follow the steps and try that.
