Hello everyone, I've finally saved enough money to buy a Video Card, the only problem is that I dont know what to buy! I would like to buy this card http://www.compusa.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3525730 but I have this kind of computer http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/ca/e...3158-12133158-12133158-79481422-79912096.html Will it work?
In short, no. You will need an upgraded power supply. You could also have a much faster video card for very little extra cost: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102747
But is I buy this I would still have to upgrade my power supply? plus this being an ATI vide card, will it cause compatibility issues?
You will still need an upgraded PSU for any graphics card worth buying. Why are you expecting compatibility issues? All manufacturers of graphics cards work with all manufacturers of CPUs and chipsets, as long as they use the right socket (PCI express) which these do.
ahhh lol sorry im really bad at this kind of thing, I thought because there's some other nvidia hardware like sound and the lan adapter in the motherboard, anyway, what do you recommend will be good for me when upgrading the psu which i dont know what it is sorry
PSU = Power supply unit. I recommend the following PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139003
