How do I make it so I can watch .AVI files on a DVD on my DVD Player? Some of my .AVIs are in XviD and DivX so how do I get to be re-encoded without it? And how do I configure FFDShow? It's going to be the compressor and I have no idea how to use it.
Do you have the files in AVI format and want to convert them to DVD format? If that is the case, you don't need to set up ffdshow. Just use Winavi convert AVI to DVD. http://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?guideid=736
just thought id add my twopenny worth i hope you have winavi 6.3 because ive heard later upgrades have a few problems i dont have any with 6.3 but u must have the right codecs installed and you need {real alternative} and {quicktime} installed hope this helps its a lot faster than nero and the quality is as good in my opinion
I don't know about "real alternative" or "quicktime", all I have installed is the comprehansive K-Lite codec pack. With it, never had a codec problem using Winavi to convert avi/divx files.
These are the only codecs i use and never had any problems if you use nero to burn dvds you need their codecs ie svcd to dvd others i use are below i try to keep the amount of codecs to a minimun more is not better perhaps you know some better ones if u do respect to you and let me know pls AC3Filter v1.01a RC5 DivX.Pro.v5.2.1 stinkys mpeg 2 codec FFDSHOW 2005-09-20
I can't install ffdshow. I'm on a completely, entirely fresh install of windows xp pro for the third time today, and every time I try to run the latest installer for ffdshow it fails out and says that it can't register the file "ffdshow.ax." anyone know what's up with that? it's driving me INSANE that it's not working on this computer. it works fine on other machines, I just can't get it to work on this one. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!
