I would like to know if its possible to extract music tracks from an original xbox game disk. my son wants a song from the burnout 3 takedown disk but not sure if it can be done. if anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated. cheers
Is your Xbox chipped/modded? If so, you can simply place your disc in the disc drive on your dashboard - EvoX/XBMC/UnleashX etc. and FTP into the "D" drive, have a look around in the contents of the game disc, and transfer ".WMA" files to your PC. One of these files are sure to be the track that you are looking for. That is assuming your Xbox is modded, otherwise the only other way I can think of is by manually recording it through line in/line out using a music recorder device. -Mike
yea u can use dvd2xbox 2 copy disc into ur Hd but if u want good media music videos pictures, ect use xbmc...
thanks guys - however i have gone into the disk via ftp (yep its modded) and there seems to be no trace of any music files! if i copy to hard disk, do other files appear? thanks guys for help
Finally figured it out Stumbled across this program: EkszBox-ABX v1.2 Worked a treat. Got the whole ost soundtrack. Extracts audio files that are imbedded in xbox files. Link for info is here http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=550410 hope this helps others cheers
