if i connect my xbox to my laptop through cat5 cable, would it connect to the internet since my laptop gets a wireless connection?

if not, if i get a wireless adapter to connect to my xbox, can it pick up my laptop, such as access itunes?

    please help! thank you.

Your Xbox can connect to the internet via your laptop if your laptop is set up for "bridging" one connection to the other. You will also need to be using a Cat-5 cross-over cable, not just a straight through cable. Do a Google search on network bridging or openVPN bridging and you can more information.

Is is a cross over cable?
If it is, you need to
-set your xobx to a fixed IP address (such as 192.168.1.100)
-know what the user name and password is for the xbox (usually it is "xbox" and "xbox")
-run an ftp client on your PC with those settings

If you are not using a cross over cable, don't bother, you wont be talking no matter what you do.
