hey, i just recieved a broken xbox from my cousins. i am not exactly sure wat is wrong with it and my cousin doesnt kno either. WHAT STEPS SHOULD I TAKE TO FIND OUT THE PROBLEM? from th outside it seems that the disc tray is broken and that is it but i am not sure. he said something about a game crackin in it and it was left on for a long time. another thing is that i can turn it on and that works. i have no clue wat to do. help! If you can turn it on and get to through the Normal Start up screens into the menu then your in good shape. At worst, then just replace the DVD drive with another Xbox drive. RustyDog
IF every thing boots up correctly then it just might be the dvd-rom.Try to open the drive up.It still might have some pieces of the disc in there.Try to remove them and then get one of ur games and insert it and check if it works
